To be a light in our community we offer both ongoing programs as well as special programs when specific needs arise.

A long-term partnership with Swift School has provided a variety of resources to the children who are students there.  School supplies are collected for children in need through our Back(pack) to School program. In 2016, a record 65 backpacks filled with supplies, valuing more than $1500, were donated. We also provide basic infrastructure to assist the learning process, recently helping to restock their library.

We also actively partner with the Alderman’s office. This has resulted in involvement in “positive loitering” and hosting an informational meeting on timely topics at our parish.

gLove His Children is an annual effort to provide hat/scarf/glove sets to local families. In 2016, over 800 sets were provided.

When disaster strikes outside of our community, whether it be flooding in Colorado or tornados in central Illinois, we reach out to support recovery efforts.

We provide mentoring and tutoring to two families who recently arrived in Chicago from a camp in Rwanda. We work with them to provide support as they adapt to a completely new culture and environment.

Each December 1st, we've hosted an annual benefit for World's AIDS Day, providing a beautiful evening of song, poetry, and testimony—for Bonaventure House, the Alexian Brothers’ Lakeview shelter for individuals who are HIV positive.
